Infrastructure on the South Shore |
By 2030, the South Shore must modernize its infrastructure to attract the next generation of businesses, employers, and families. Slow and steady, we're getting there.
Why Should We Care About Infrastructure?
Without roads, water, and power, communities cannot function and economies cannot grow. In addition, COVID-19 changed how we work, live, and do business on the South Shore, and government leaders are setting priorities based on pandemic recovery.
What Is the South Shore 2030 Infrastructure Initiative?
The South Shore 2030 team is working to determine our regional infrastructure needs and create solutions. Here are their areas of focus:
Water & Wastewater
CONCERN: Water management and wastewater treatment capacity pose challenges to environmental sustainability and economic growth.
OUR WORK: Collaborate with municipalities and developers on solutions that will allow projects to move forward.
