The SSEDC’s Housing Committee supports the Town of Weymouth’s Commercial Overlay District Zoning change. The overlay district identifies 4 key commercial corridors in need of revitalization and allow for mixed-use, combining of lots to make larger, more dense developments more feasible. It allows greater investment into the town through a special permit process. These zoning changes will help Weymouth achieve its goals of creating compact, walkable, mixed-use, and transit-friendly development within appropriate areas of Weymouth.
