WHY THE SOUTH SHORE SHOULD BE CONCERNED

South Shore 2030: Choosing Our Future identified pending challenges for the region’s economy.  If left unaddressed the region could face a contracting economic base, longer commutes to good jobs, declining property values, and diminished municipal services.  Fortunately, we have some key assets to build and even stronger regional economy, bring more jobs to the area, strengthen our communities, and enhance an already positive quality of life for our residents.

South Shore 2030 is an ambitious long-range plan that will materialize through a large number of separate projects.  It will succeed by broad involvement of the business community, not-for-profit organizations, and government, as well as private citizens.
